FIRST TIME BUYER MORTGAGE ADVICE

As a first time buyer you'll be in some unfamiliar territory as you explore the possibility of taking your first step on to the property ladder, and this is where we play our role in giving you the help and guidance you need.

You can begin the process by making an appointment with us to explore affordability and how much you can borrow. After we've discussed these aspects, and you have the perspective to understand if buying is the right choice for you, we can move on to obtaining a Decision In Principle from a lender.

A Decision In Principle is an indication of how much a lender might be willing to lend to a prospective borrower on providing some basic information. It doesn't commit the lender to offer a loan, but provides a useful guide before proceeding to a full application.

Once we have your decision in principle you will be equipped to be taken seriously as you search properties and place any bids. Rest assured that your dedicated Experts 4 Mortgages case manager will be with you every step of the way, working with you and your solicitor up to the point of completion.

SHARED EQUITY GOVERNMENT SCHEMES

During an initial meeting we can assess if you qualify for any of the Scottish government's shared equity schemes, should this be a route you are interested in.
