THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT'S HELP TO BUY SCHEME HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MARCH 2021
HELP TO BUY MORTGAGES
The Scottish Government's Help to Buy Affordable New Build Scheme helps first-time buyers, and current home owners, purchase a new build home without the need for a large deposit. Applicants are expected to pay a minimum of 85% of the home's total purchase price, mortgage and deposit combined, with the Scottish Government holding the remaining % share under a shared equity agreement.
Undoubtedly, help to buy applicants have potentially greater complexities to deal with than those buying without assistance, because eligibility for the scheme is an additional aspect to navigate on top of finding the right lender for your circumstances. This is where we can help.
Our knowledge of participating lenders, as well as the Help To Buy application requirements, will make an effective combination to establish the possibility of a successful Help to Buy purchase. We will guide you through the application process, providing you with the necessary lender DIP (Decision In Principle) certificate that is a mandatory part of the process, and we'll see matters through to the moment you get the keys to your new home.
